However, this growth must be commercially sustainable and avoid excessive negative externalities on the wider vaccine ecosystem. A new white paper from the Clinton Health Access Initiative proposes a sustainable, balanced goal for African vaccine manufacturing capacity and highlights the most important funding and policy interventions to achieve it.
